about

Osei Korankye is amongst the master performers and interpreters of Ghana’s seperewa musical tradition.

The seperewa is the harp of the Ashanti people of Ghana. Osei's grandfather Opanin Kwabena Agyarko rediscovered through dream this unique instrument, which originally came from the Sahara, and it has been present for a long time among various Akan groups. Then almost disappeared as guitar playing started spreading from the coast...but its legacy still lives on!

Here is an incredible live performance from Osei Korankye's beautiful voice and instrument, singing to remind all of we about the importance of love in everyday life and works.

Enjoy!
